Weiser Recycling, 35900 Clinton in Wayne

Weiser buys and recycles various types of metal, including batteries, cellphones, computers, machinery, and many automobile parts. 

Smart Way Recycling, 13000 W. Eight Mile Road in Oak Park

Smart Way provides shredding and recycling services at its site in Oak Park. It specializes in recycling cardboard, plastic, styrofoam, and all forms of paper products.

SOCCRA, 995 Coolidge in Troy

SOCCRA is a municipal corporation that consists of 12 member municipalities: Berkley, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, Clawson, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Lathrup Village, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, and Troy. The recycling drop-off center is open six days a week and is free to use. Items that can be recycled here include paper; cardboard; glass; plastic; aerosol cans; styrofoam; clothes and shoes; cassettes and CDs; and household scrap metals such as pots and pans. SOCCRA also offers household hazardous waste and electronics recycling days.

Rochester Recycling, 379 South Street in Rochester

Rochester Recycling can purchase recyclables including a variety of metals, lawn furniture, brass lamps, appliances, extension cords, and some automobile parts.

Novi Recycling Center, 26300 Lee BeGole Drive in Novi

The Resource Recovery and Recycling Authority of Southern Oakland County includes the cities of Novi, Farmington, Farmington Hills, South Lyon, Wixom, Southfield, and Walled Lake. The recycling center at the Novi DPW grounds is open daily. Items that can be recycled include most types of paper, aluminum and metal cans, household scrap metal, glass bottles and jars, and bulky plastic, such as chairs and buckets.
